First Playable

To quote Jeff Goldblum in my absolute favourite film of all time, "You did it, You crazy Son of a B**** You did it".  Thats right, I have made a halfway decent stealth game. I've built up the game from my prototype, introducing a GameWin state and a GameLose state to the game, meaning the player now has a goal and things stopping him from reaching that goal.

This is the winning Message.

This is the Game Over Screen.

I replaced the cube with a Solid Snake character asset to show who the player is, this is only a placeholder for the moment. I found the asset on this website if your interested, they provide some really cool free assets for games. There are now multiple Guards following diverse paths making sneaking past them a bit tricky. Buildings can be used to take cover behind. The White square at the top of the screen symbolises the cell where Rolands target is located so thats here the game ends at the moment. The boss fight may have to be cut out due to time restraints unfortunately, but right now I'm delighted with how the game is currently playable and actually kind of fun!

  1. Hey Mac,

Damn your game is coming along really well, I am impressed. I really like how you have added the message pop ups for failing the level aswell as completing it. Really makes the whole game look a lot more polished. Would love to see how you do up a boss fight if you have time, sounds like a really cool idea.

  2. Hi Mac I really like your Game it looks very professional and it looks like you put a lot of time and effort into making it. I really like the pop-ups when the player wins and loses it seems like a very cool element and something I might add to my own game. I Really like the aspect of all the guards that are in the game. It's also cool how you added where are you found the assets and I might have a look at it for my project. Overall I really like your game and good luck with creating the rest of it.

  3. Hi Mac

The game looks fantastic. I think that the graphics and designs are extremely professional looking. I am impressed by how you added in the "game over" element. The colors are really fitting as well. The game reminds me of a mixture of hide and seek and grand theft auto five when you are hiding from a police chase. You are definitely gonna do well because of this game no matter what, the boss battle is going to make it look epic as well.
