Introduction to me

 Hey, Hows it going?


 I'm Matthew, my friends call me Mac because I remind them of Mac from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and to be honest it kinda feels weird to be called anything else nowadays.

I'm 22, doing Creative Digital Media in TU Dublin in Blanchardstown (duh) and I work in Cineworld in town.

I play a few instruments and I'm in a band with a few of my mates from Secondary School, we did some gigs and we were doing pretty good until Covid started and we couldn't play live anymore but hey, its a hobby.

At the start of Covid I started painting little space dudes for the craic but now I'm in severe debt from buying so much from the Warhammer shop that I've asked my girlfriend to punch me everytime I try go anywhere near it.

My Favourite Movies are Jurassic Park, The Big Lebowski, The Lord of the Rings (all 3) and Army of Darkness.

I like alot of music but I guess my favourite type of music would be rock music, I like bands like Ween, Rush and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. I also really like Lizzo, she's deadly.

My personal hero is Bruce Springsteen as I too, wear jeans and hate my job.

    Hi Matthew I really like your blog post. It's very cool how you can play instruments I wish I was able to as well and it's also cool have you had a band and were able to do gigs that sounds really fun. I also like your taste in music it seems quite cool. Bruce Springsteen is also a cool person to have as a hero.

    I really enjoyed reading through your introduction post I have to say. I really like the nick name "Mac" its pretty cool. Thats so sick that you still stayed with some of your friends from secondary school and you have a band together. Must be really fun playing gigs together as friends. Im sure once covid goes away you will be back at it in no time.

    Hey Matthew,
    I always wondered why you call yourself Mac even though your name is Matthew. Perf Blanchardstown is the best 💅🏼 My favourite is your dog she/he is super cute and fluffy I wish I could kidnap her/him. Your dog is the main character. What is the dogs name??? I saw the Lord of things Rings too and I found it to be pretty cool.

    Hi Mac

    I loved reading this introduction. I've never seen Always Sunny in Philadelphia but I would like to see it. What's it like working in a cinema? I've always been curious to know as it seems like a cool job in my opinion, do you get many movie benefits? I played guitar in school, what instruments do you play? I've seen the Big Lebowski and it was funny. I wear jeans too but I know for a fact that falling asleep in them is annoying (as i remember you saying once).

    Hey Mac,

    You made me laugh, I didn't have a clue any of them bands and then you said Lizzo haha. I can relate to the being in debt over lockdown. I started buying a lot more vinyl because what else was I doing and now I have no where to put things and no money in the bank account. See you on campus in the New Year!

First Playable

To quote Jeff Goldblum in my absolute favourite film of all time, "You did it, You crazy Son of a B**** You did it".  Thats right, I have made a halfway decent stealth game. I've built up the game from my prototype, introducing a GameWin state and a GameLose state to the game, meaning the player now has a goal and things stopping him from reaching that goal.  This is the winning Message. This is the Game Over Screen. I replaced the cube with a Solid Snake character asset to show who the player is, this is only a placeholder for the moment. I found the asset on  this website if your interested, they provide some really cool free assets for games. There are now multiple Guards following diverse paths making sneaking past them a bit tricky. Buildings can be used to take cover behind.
