Growth Mindset

Image
What the hell is a growth mindset? It sounds like some weird disease from a science fiction novel. Well apparently a growth mindset is a mindset that is ready and willing to grow, huh, how about that. I'll be honest, last year I had kind of a fixed mindset, alot of what was being taught in class wasn't really new information to me and I really struggled with taking part in classes because my laptop hates me and I got a fun new diagnosis from a doctor called anxiety. So as you can imagine, I wasn't really up for growing as a person, but instead felt much better wallowing in the pits of despair. But this year is gonna be different, now that we're back on campus I can't wait to start taking part in class, learning new things and hopefully making a few new mates. And if thats not a growth mindset then I think I might have googled it wrong. Introduction to me

Image
Hey, Hows it going?  I'm Matthew, my friends call me Mac because I remind them of Mac from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and to be honest it kinda feels weird to be called anything else nowadays. I'm 22, doing Creative Digital Media in TU Dublin in Blanchardstown (duh) and I work in Cineworld in town. I play a few instruments and I'm in a band with a few of my mates from Secondary School, we did some gigs and we were doing pretty good until Covid started and we couldn't play live anymore but hey, its a hobby. At the start of Covid I started painting little space dudes for the craic but now I'm in severe debt from buying so much from the Warhammer shop that I've asked my girlfriend to punch me everytime I try go anywhere near it. My Favourite Movies are Jurassic Park, The Big Lebowski, The Lord of the Rings (all 3) and Army of Darkness. I like alot of music but I guess my favourite type of music would be rock music, I like bands like Ween, Rush and King Gizza

My Favourite Game

My Favourite Game 2015 was a good year for me, I had started Transistion Year so most of my time in school was spent making movies with my mates, I saw Weird Al live in concert, I began reading The Dark Tower books which I have had an obsession with ever since and also, my favourite game ever made came out. Going into the year I was highly anticipating only one game, no other held my interest except maybe that fantasy game about the white haired dude with the swords, but mostly I was looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It's hard to describe the hype that was built around the release of MGSV, it was going to be amazing, it was a direct sequel to my then favourite game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater AND it had Keifer Sutherland!!! Unfortunately I had to wait till like September to play it, so I figured, hey I'll give the white haired dude a try. Before playing The Witcher 3 I figured I might aswell catch up to whatever the hell the story was to it so I went
