Reading 11: Final Draft




Woohoo! Finally the chapter is done! Looking back at what I have written with fresh eyes was a great way for me to realise I have a real tendency to ramble. After taking out numerous tangents that went nowhere I finally had a chapter that I feel flows nicely. I also added in my author bio and a bibliography which I feel pretty silly for not including in the first place. Overall, I had a great time working on this chapter and am happy with the end result, I hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I did researching and writing it.

So I uninstalled it and installed a newer version onto my laptop and boom, I'm back in business. Introduction to me

 Hey, Hows it going?  I'm Matthew, my friends call me Mac because I remind them of Mac from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and to be honest it kinda feels weird to be called anything else nowadays. I'm 22, doing Creative Digital Media in TU Dublin in Blanchardstown (duh) and I work in Cineworld in town. I play a few instruments and I'm in a band with a few of my mates from Secondary School, we did some gigs and we were doing pretty good until Covid started and we couldn't play live anymore but hey, its a hobby. At the start of Covid I started painting little space dudes for the craic but now I'm in severe debt from buying so much from the Warhammer shop that I've asked my girlfriend to punch me everytime I try go anywhere near it. My Favourite Movies are Jurassic Park, The Big Lebowski, The Lord of the Rings (all 3) and Army of Darkness. First Playable

  Screenshot of First playable version. To quote Jeff Goldblum in my absolute favourite film of all time, "You did it, You crazy Son of a B**** You did it".  Thats right, I have made a halfway decent stealth game. I've built up the game from my prototype, introducing a GameWin state and a GameLose state to the game, meaning the player now has a goal and things stopping him from reaching that goal.  This is the winning Message. This is the Game Over Screen. I replaced the cube with a Solid Snake character asset to show who the player is, this is only a placeholder for the moment. I found the asset on  this website if your interested, they provide some really cool free assets for games. There are now multiple Guards following diverse paths making sneaking past them a bit tricky. Buildings can be used to take cover behind.
